A recent evening with Grainne & Andy (and girls) ahead of their BIshop's Gate Hotel Wedding was a good chance for me to get to know some of the smaller members of their wedding party ahead of what will be a very family orientated big day later this month. It was also a chance for them to get used to me pointing a camera in their direction - luckily Andy went home with his soul still intact so we put that worry to bed for him at least...
A walk, with cartwheels (not from me I should add!) was followed up by a stop in at the Bishops Gate Hotel itself for a quick scout of their wedding venue, where the excitement was almost palpable...
There's been a constant state of excitement in our home over the last few weeks (and months!) due to the countdown to my daughter's First Communion... by the time the big day arrived our dress shopping trip to Kindle Occasions seemed a distant memory - our only trip I should add, as the second dress tried was the chosen one!
And thanks to Auntie Susie for taking the camera for this one!
My eight year old daughter has been recently learning about, and given the challenge of coming up with a project on, World War II in school. Being the little people person she is she was drawn to some of the personal stories, rather than the military side of things, and came up with the idea of writing a letter home as if she'd been an evacuee.
It's often said planning a family photo-shoot around an activity everyone enjoys will result in more relaxed and natural photographs, so what better time to capture Simone's party loving family than during her sixth birthday bash!
My expectations were high after witnessing mum Cassie's meticulously planned Mad Scientist & Wonderland themes for previous parties, and it's fair to say Rainbows didn't disappoint this time out - as you can clearly see in the smiley colourful faces below.....
Halloween's always been a big thing in Derry - and nowhere moreso that my own house where my kids love the opportunity to dress up and join in the fun. This year they ended up a a skeleton Bride & Groom - (it's a total co-incidence that they have a wedding photographing daddy, and a wedding cake creating mammy!
I am a wedding & family photographer based in Derry in the North West of Ireland.
