Emma The Evacuee -  Family Photography & A School Project...

My eight year old daughter has been recently learning about, and given the challenge of coming up with a project on,  World War II in school. Being the little people person she is she was drawn to some of the personal stories, rather than the military side of things, and came up with the idea of writing a letter home as if she'd been an evacuee.

The project also seemed a good chance to indulge in a little fun family photography to accompany her letter - so with mum in charge of wardrobe, and my Fujifilm X100t in hand, we headed out, to add a bit of authenticity, to the Old Waterside Railway Station, Derry, and the Beech Hill Country House Hotel - where we were kindly invited inside to take some extra shots, and to have a look at a few of their WW2 exhibits.
