Caireen & Rónán faced the choice, that many engaged couples do, of what sort of wedding day to have - a small intimate gathering, or a good & proper shindig... They, however, came up with their own novel solution - why not both??
First up was the family gathering; with their ceremony at St Columba's Long Tower Church, (not to be confused with St Columb's Cathedral, as if anyone would), before a stroll for their guests, in autumn sunshine, to the Bishops Gate Hotel; with a slight detour, via a walk on the Derry Walls, for the happy couple, with just myself & a bus load of tourists for company.... Here's the story of their day(s)... Part One

Grainne & Andy wanted, in their own words, 'a chilled and family focused day, a day about making official what we already have, a wonderful family of precious girls with our love and commitment at the heart of that.' Anyone, and everyone, who was lucky enough to attend, or to play a part in making their day, in the Bishop's Gate Hotel, would agree that this is exactly what they achieved. It was a day filled with family, friends, laughter and no shortage of emotion... and it was a privilege for me to wander among their families & guests photographing their day - one that just suited a documentary wedding photography approach ideally.
