When the Saints...

Over the past few weeks I've been fortuate enough to get a behind the scene look at the preparation for the DLD Second Line Parade - taking part this Saturday lunchtime as part of the City of Derry Jazz & Big Band Festival. 

It's been a pleasure to watch as the youngsters progressed from the tentative first practise to confidently marching & playing the rehearsal room in the Playhouse. Not to mention witnessing the growing pride of parade organiser, the tuba playing Amanda, as she watched the young proteges progression.

Things step up a level again tomorrow at the JayDee Brassband arrive to lead the final workshop before this weekend's big performance. So here's the story so far...
